1 Account & Login

I've forgotten my password. How do I reset it?

On the login page, click "Forgot Password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.

I can't log in. What should I check?

Try these steps:

  • Check you're using the correct email address
  • Make sure Caps Lock is off when entering your password
  • Try resetting your password using the "Forgot Password" link
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Try a different browser

If you still can't log in, contact your organisation administrator or our support team.

How do I change my email address?

Go to Settings from the sidebar. Under the Profile section, update your email address and click Save Changes.

Can I have multiple user accounts?

Each email address can only be associated with one account. If you need to belong to multiple organisations, you'll need to use different email addresses for each.

2 Recording Conversations

My conversation didn't save. What happened?

This usually happens due to a lost internet connection. To avoid losing data:

  • Make sure you have a stable internet connection before saving
  • Wait for the confirmation message before navigating away
  • If you see an error, try clicking Save again

My Journey requires an internet connection to save data - it doesn't currently work offline.

Can I edit a conversation after saving it?

Yes. Go to Conversations in the sidebar, find the conversation you want to edit, and click on it to open the details. Click the Edit button to make changes, then save.

Do I need to fill in every field?

No. Only fill in what's relevant to each conversation. The form is designed to be flexible - record as much or as little as appropriate for each interaction.

What are the faith stages and how do I choose the right one?

The faith stages help track where someone is on their spiritual journey:

  • Seeker – Actively searching for meaning or exploring spirituality
  • Curious – Showing interest and asking questions about faith
  • Open – Receptive to hearing more and engaging in deeper conversation
  • Interested – Actively considering faith, may want to attend church or a course
  • Committed – Has made a decision to follow Christ
  • Growing – Developing in their faith, connected to a church community

Choose the stage that best reflects where you sense the person is. It's okay if you're not certain - it's an estimate to help track overall trends.

3 GPS & Location

How do I enable GPS/location services?

When you first try to record a conversation with location, your browser will ask permission. Click Allow to enable location services.

If you previously denied permission:

  • Chrome: Click the padlock icon in the address bar → Site settings → Location → Allow
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Safari → Allow
  • Firefox: Click the padlock icon → More Information → Permissions → Access Your Location
The GPS location is wrong or not showing. What can I do?

Try these solutions:

  • Make sure location services are enabled on your device
  • Check the browser has permission to access your location
  • Go outside or near a window - GPS works better with a clear view of the sky
  • Wait a few seconds for the GPS to get a fix
  • Refresh the page and try again

If GPS isn't available, you can still record the conversation without location data.

Is the location data shared publicly?

Exact locations are only visible to logged-in users within your organisation. If your organisation enables a public reports page, locations shown on the map are deliberately made approximate (rounded to ~100m) to protect privacy.

4 Data & Reports

Can I export my data?

Export functionality is available for administrators. Contact your organisation admin if you need data exported, or contact our support team for assistance.

Why can't I see other team members' conversations?

Standard users can only see their own conversations. Only administrators can view all conversations across the organisation. This is by design to protect privacy while still enabling team reporting.

How do I enable the public reports page?

Administrators can enable this in Settings under the Organisation section. Toggle on Public Reports Page and you'll see your unique shareable URL. This page shows aggregated statistics - no personal details are ever displayed.

5 Mobile & Browser

Is there a mobile app I need to download?

No. My Journey is a web application that works in any modern browser. There's nothing to download or install - just visit the website and log in.

How do I add My Journey to my phone's home screen?

For quick access:

  • iPhone/iPad: Tap the Share button (square with arrow), then tap "Add to Home Screen"
  • Android: Tap the menu (three dots), then tap "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App"

This creates an icon that opens My Journey directly, like a native app.

The page isn't loading properly. What should I try?

Try these steps:

  • Refresh the page
  • Check your internet connection
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Try a different browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
  • Make sure your browser is up to date

6 Admin & Settings

How do I add a new team member?

Administrators can add users by going to Team in the sidebar, clicking Add User, and filling in their details. Share the login credentials with the new user securely.

Can I customise the form options?

Yes. Administrators can customise the dropdown options in each form section using the Form Builder (under Admin in the sidebar). You can add, remove, and reorder options to match your ministry context.

How do I change someone's role from User to Admin?

Go to Team, find the user, and click Edit. Change their role from User to Admin and save. They'll have full admin access immediately.

Can I delete a conversation?

Yes. Open the conversation, click Delete, and confirm. Deleted conversations cannot be recovered, so only delete if you're sure.
